Where can I find information on Long Island Communities?

I am planning to move there, and have been looking a several towns... School Districts seem to play a very important role in LI.. I would like to be able to find a site that compares towns by school rankings AND crime index.... Can anyone tell me anything about the following towns? Huntington , Deer Park, Babylon, Greenlawn

I would like to know about:

School District (i know that with in each town you have have 2-3 different districts)

Crime

Demographics

Things to Do

Any piece of information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Where can I find information on Long Island Communities? The first link is to American Factfinder, from the Census Bureau. Just enter the name of the town and the state, and it will give you a breakdown of each town.

The second link shows Federal Crime stats for Suffolk County, New York, which includes these communities.

The last link is the Public Library Locator. They would be able to help you get much more valuable information on each community, and may help you narrow in on some more detail statistics than I have provided. They will know doubt be able to help you with school systems.

Hope this helps.Where can I find information on Long Island Communities?Do you really think you are going to get some serious answers on Yahoo ?? You would be better off asking JeevesWhere can I find information on Long Island Communities?Try contacting a local real estate agent. They will know everything there is to know about the area. A really good website to browse local real estate/real estate agents is: http://www.realestateforsaleinnewyork.co鈥?/a>

It's really easy to navigate and is full of info about realtors with links to their personal websites. Most of their websites will have all the available homes/rentals in the area along with community info, so you can do some research before you contact anyone. Hopefully that works for you. Good luck!Where can I find information on Long Island Communities?
