I would like to download and print the information. This is very painful and I would like to try some self help at home. Cant live at the doc"s office! Thanks for any help you can give!Where can I find information on sciatic nerve damage and ways to help ease the pain? There are lots of places to download information about this condition. I would like you to try these movements as they should help to decrease the pain. Follow them even if they don't seem related to the condition as they really are. Sit in a straight chair and raise the left arm up as high as it will go and note how high it went. Return the arm to the side and now do the right arm. One arm went higher than the other so start with that arm. Raise that arm up as high as it can go for 30 seconds and then rest for 15. Repeat that twice more and then do the opposite arm exactly the same way 3 times. Turn the head to the left as far as you can then turn to the right. One side will have turned further so start in that direction. Turn in that direction as far as you can for 30 seconds and then rest for 15. Repeat that twice more and then do the opposite direction 3 times exactly the same way. Get up and walk around. There should be a lessening of pain and there should be more mobility. Return to the chair and keep the feet and hips planted while turning to the left as far as you can go without pain. Never enter any painful area! Turn to the right as far as you can without pain. One direction will go further so start with that. Turn in that direction as far as you can without pain for 30 seconds and then rest for 15. Repeat that twice more and then do the opposite side as far as you can without pain 3 times in exactly the same way. Lastly, do this movement if you are able. Bring the Left knee up as close to the Right shoulder as possible and then switch so that the Right knee comes up to the Left shoulder as close as possible. One of those movements will get closer to the shoulder so start with that one. Bring the knee up to the opposite shoulder for 30 seconds and then rest for 15. Repeat that twice more and then do the opposite combination 3 times. Remember not to enter into any painful area! Upon completion get up and walk around. Pain levels should be down and there should be more mobility available to you. Do these movements at least once a day and more if possible. Hope that helps!Where can I find information on sciatic nerve damage and ways to help ease the pain?google sciatic nerve damgae and treatmentWhere can I find information on sciatic nerve damage and ways to help ease the pain?there is loads on the internet generally... but find what is best for you...
i found exercise actually helped to ease and ultimately cure it - especially regular stretching...but never stretch cold as this can worsen the pain, make sure you have warmed up... this is also not a quick solution, it may take a few weeks to feel the difference but it will happen - stick at it!
but as i say - each to their own on this one, i know some people who resorted to acupuncture and it worked!?
