Where can i find information on how digital imaging has affected the medical field?

A friend of mine is attempting to write a paper on how digital imaging has affected the field of medicine, but all she can find is how digital imaging helped in specific cases and advertisements for digital imaging. Any idea on where to find the proper information? Perhaps articles written by people involved in the introduction of digital imaging to the medical field, or something along those lines.Where can i find information on how digital imaging has affected the medical field?Where is she looking? And what does she do (i.e. what level of education are we talking?).



Googling "PACS radiology impact" links to loads of papers and articles. Most articles are going to be about the experience of specific institutions or areas, but she needs to use all that data together to write her own piece.



PS. I assume she has used the term PACS.
