There aren't many people left who know about European styles, and I'm not too familiar with them. Your best bet would be trying to contact a European historian or trying to find someone who knows the history of historical fencing or even a military historian.Where would I go to find information about quarterstaffs?http://www.thearma.org/

Where would I go to find information about quarterstaffs?
I'm writing a story and looking for some background information on using the quarterstaff. I've done a general search and checked my local library, and sent an email to a local fencing club. Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks.Where would I go to find information about quarterstaffs?well you would have to tell us what background with quarterstaffs. Like fencing, there are multiple forms varying based on region and nationality. Unfortunately the european arts have mostly been lost after the advent of weapons. For example, while in martial arts similar to jujitsu and aiki-jujitsu did in fact develop fact in Europe, the arts were lost after the beginning of gunpowder warfare. (although I'm thinking you know that)
