Where can I look to find more information on a home for sale?

I found a home I am interested in for sale, but the condition is listed as-is. I went by the property and it looks nice from the outside, but I haven't been able to get a call back from the listing agent to take a look at it. I don't especially want to get my own agent because I am not seriously ready to jump into anything until I get more information. If the "as-is" means it's in crap condition inside, I don't even want to look. Just call every nearby agency in the Yellow Pages until you find someone to help. Most agents will jump at the prospect of showing a house and making a sell. They will have the basic info on it and can find out anything else you need to know. Just seeing it should give you an idea tho.
