What stores the information in your brain?

I'm assuming Brain Cells store information. If those brain cells die, what then, would happen to the information you've stored? Is the information transferred to other brain cells?What stores the information in your brain?Brain cell is a generic term for the neurons and glial cells. Neurons are nerve cells that process and transmit information through the nervous system. Glial cells provide support, protection, and nutrition to the neurons. Other cells in the brain include epithelial cells that make up the lining of the blood vessels.

Neuron, also known as neurones and nervous cells) are responsive cells in the nervous system that process and transmit information by electrochemical signalling. They are the core components of the brain, the vertebrate spinal cord, the invertebrate ventral nerve cord, and the peripheral nerves. A number of different types of neurons exist: sensory neurons respond to touch, sound, light and numerous other stimuli affecting cells of the sensory organs that then send signals to the spinal cord and brain. Motor neurons receive signals from the brain and spinal cord and cause muscle contractions and affect glands. Inter-neurons connect neurons to other neurons within the brain and spinal cord. Neurons respond to stimuli, and communicate the presence of stimuli to the central nervous system, which processes that information and sends responses to other parts of the body for action.What stores the information in your brain?Short-term memory is supported by transient patterns of neuronal communication, dependent on regions of the frontal lobe (especially dorsolateral prefrontal cortex) and the parietal lobe. Long-term memories, on the other hand, are maintained by more stable and permanent changes in neural connections widely spread throughout the brain. The hippocampus is essential (for learning new information) to the consolidation of information from short-term to long-term memory, although it does not seem to store information itself. Without the hippocampus new memories are unable to be stored into long-term memory, very short attention span.
