What information should be recorded after you have given basic life support?
not when a doctor does, when a normal person gives life support what information should be recorded. Thanks. What information should be recorded after you have given basic life support?Time you started, the situation in which you found the patient, responses with breathing and pulse - anything that you think would be helpful to the next person taking over the care. i.e. Ambulance personnel, doctor etc. What information should be recorded after you have given basic life support? You should note the time you found the person and how long they had been unconscious and not breathing before you got there (if you know). Also, any sort of information leading up to them going unconscious: exercise, trauma, allergic reaction, etc. If you know CPR and started compressions and ventilations it would be good to note when you started. Defibrillator (Shock Machines) are very common now - every airport and gym has one. If a defibrillator was used, it would be nice to know how many times the person was shocked. Finally, if you know the person who you are giving basic life support to, their medical history can tell us a lot about their condition as well.
