http://www.bragg.army.mil/specialforces/Information?Not sure about the army, but the air force has it's share of special forces/special operations jobs.... combat controllers, pararescue, combat weathermen. You'll go through a lot of the exact same training, but the air force will treat you a lot better. Talk to you local recruiting office or go to www.airforce.com for more info!!!! Good luck and happy new year!Information?US Army has Special Forces (that you call green beret), Rangers and Delta operators. There's more info on the internet than you will be able to read. Talk to a recruiter, or better yet, find an active duty soldier that has a Special Forces or Ranger Tab on his shoulder.Information?
The Green Beret is just the beret that the special forces wear. it is something you earn not just something you become. Other special type forces such as delta force (which you have to be selected to try out for). You can enlist in the Army to go special forces (any xray job specifier) or you can join later after you enlist in the army. basically they'll send you to a special forces selection course and IF you make it through that, they might consider picking you up.
