How long do retailers have to keep information on money orders they sell?

I need to trace a money order that is a year old. How long does the retailer I bought it from have to keep information on money orders they sell, so that I can trace it?How long do retailers have to keep information on money orders they sell?Retailers do not have to keep their invoices, there is no law or regulation stating that they have to. They SHOULD keep those sorts of things for their records, I mean, that's a good idea to avoid angry customers and misunderstandings. So, a smart company would have a record of all their invoices and things. You would have to call the specific company and ask because there is no set amount of time retailers have to keep their invoices. Every company is different.
