However, when one looks at ALL of science, it's plain as day that modern religions are hogwash.
Anyway, many Christians have begun to accept evolution. How do religions incorporate new scientific information into their dogma?

How do religions incorporate new scientific information into their dogma? It is no secret that Christians , Muslims and Jews all led the field in scientific research and founded University level education. As a result the disclosure of dna ,for example shows how it is not only possible but indispensible to constitute life from the "dust of the earth", just as the Genesis account reveals in simple terms. The fact that "the dust" of the earth is essentially composed of Carbon,Nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen plus trace elements does more than anything to incorporate science with scriptures. How such organisms began to breathe air demonstates the essential order of creation in providing vegetation from which to feed and inhale the exact oxygenated air at exactly the right pressure for exactly the right purpose testifies either to pre ordained outcomes or again to sheer guesswork on the part of secular reasoning.
Even with all the tools of modern science no one has ever been able to replicate from such elements any living life which ,even in its most elementary state contains rather more intelligence and programming than a modern chemical plant covering acres of ground.
I call that a miracle but others believe in luck and the kind of mathematical probabilities that are beyond human imagination.
The word dogma is to do with teaching so we shouldnt disparage science or religion on such grounds really.
Its a matter of accepting both as neither could exist on their own and make any sense whatsoever. How do religions incorporate new scientific information into their dogma?
Vatican is a good source cuz they can alter official dogma.
They are down with the Bi Bang, believe Adam and Eve were not like current humans, state that homosexuality is biological but the acts are forbidden, when they finally accepted heliocentrism they insisted the orbits must be perfect circles and elliptical orbits were heresy. So they do so in a kind of weird, twisted way where they admit to being wrong and then claim authority over the corrections. How do religions incorporate new scientific information into their dogma?I don't know about other religions, but christianity has never had to change it's beliefs. Of course, back in the Catholic days when nobody could be anything else, they made some mistakes with interpretation of the Word verses science, but now we know that all true science agrees with the Bible. It even predicted atheism and evolution.
I have, however, seen people change evolution to fit the new facts as they come to light. Of course, it's getting pretty difficult lately with all we are learning about biology. Take a look and you will be amazed.
They would only need to do this if they concede the discrepancies between their religious scripture and scientific fact.
A true 'Word of God' would never require corrections. In fact not only would it completely align with science but it would actually teach science to mankind. After all, if God created the universe and everything within it including the scientific laws that govern it. surely he wouldn't make a mistake in narrating some of those laws in His scripture. Hence, any scripture that needs to be revised or modified to align with science is 'man's word', not 'God's word'.
If we can find a scripture that is fully aligned with our knowledge of science today, and tomorrow, without a single exception, then we would have without doubt 'God's word'. The only scripture I know of today that meets this criteria is the Quran which is the scripture of Islam followed by Muslims.
Besides the fact there is only a single 'version' of the Quran in its original language of revelation, the many verses it includes describing the mountains, oceans, clouds, hail, the creation of the universe, the origin of life, human embryology, and also the lack of statements contradicting science (for example it doesn't limit the age of the earth to six thousand years) bear witness to the fact that it is truly a divine revelation from the Creator himself. How do religions incorporate new scientific information into their dogma?
Here's how this question might sound to you:
Can you provide me with examples of how atheists have changed their way of having internal happiness based on new instruction manuals being created?
I'm not aware of how science can change my "dogma" of Love the Lord God with all your heart mind and soul.
They don't. They ignore it, put their hands on their ears and scream "LA LA LA LA, LA LA LALA LA LA LA LAAA!"
In other words, they'll either deny the new information or airbrush over their beliefs to remove contradictory claims. How do religions incorporate new scientific information into their dogma?
The Bahai Faith's view is (in the words of its founder):
"Science without religion is just materialism, and religion without science is just superstition."
Islam/Qu'ran - knowing the sex of a child before it is born.
Christianity/Bible - knowing that atoms exist.
Both claims made by religious folks but both absolute rubbish and easily refuted.
By claiming what they thought of as fact before was actually allegory and metaphorical :)
The Catholic Church accepted Evolution. That's the only example I can think of at the moment.
