Where can I find information on what happened to a drunk driver?

Over 8 years ago, an entire family from Ontario, were killed in an automobile accident. There were the parents, two of their kids and one grandchild. They were hit by a drunk driver, while they were in MIchigan for a wedding. I was wondering, if I have the last name of the family, at least two first names, where can I find information regarding the drunk driver and any jail time he may have served?Where can I find information on what happened to a drunk driver?Go to the newspaper office in the town the incident occured, go to the news archives section (web page?), ask for a search using the family name, from the news article, get the name of the driver, go to or call the court clerks office, they will run the drivers name and let you view the court records (or send copies of the Adjudication) for any trial, actions, and sentencing... it is all public record, in all states.Where can I find information on what happened to a drunk driver?

Start with ProQuest and other newspaper files. You should be able to access those at a major public library, or perhaps from home if you have a library card. Canadian libraries don't mostly have online access, but you might search the back files at the Globe and Mail site.

You really need to get the full name of the driver. Any private investigator, and many online services, can help you get the driving and incarceration record of the driver. These are neither privileged nor secret. http://www.whitepages.com is a place to start.Where can I find information on what happened to a drunk driver?you can go to the county courthouse where it happend r call them ask for county clecks office they will tell you if they have a web site most do they will tell you how to look it up
