How can I find information on a private company?

I'm looking for P%26amp;L statements from previous years, any lawsuits, number of employees, revenue, etc. Is any of this information publicly available for a company that is privately held?How can I find information on a private company?What part of the word "private" is confusing?? The only reason why even large companies disclose that information is because they are mandated by the SEC BECAUSE they are publicly held companies. If there were no such law, even WalMart would not release that information.
